Field of Sheaves is a vest for children. The name comes from the Cluster of Wheat stitch that is worked all over the garment. The vest is worked in the round up to the armholes, then, after dividing, the front and back are worked flat. The shoulders are seamed with a three-needle cast-off. Stitches are picked up around the armholes to work borders, and around the neck to work the V-neck band.

Pattern tension is 30 sts/40 rows to 4” (10cm) worked over the Cluster of Wheat stitch.

It is written for 6 sizes, as follows.
0-6 months, to fit chest 16”/41cm, actual size 18 1/2”/47cm
6-12 months, to fit chest 18”/46cm, actual size 20 1/4”/51.5cm
