Filet crochet in rounds? What for?
Well, I find that it looks simply better with symmetrical patterns :)
It may be that you don’t see any difference from far away, but from close I find it more beautiful if the stripes pattern made from the double crochets radiates from the center.
See the pictures on the left: both are the same pattern, one is crocheted in the round and the other is crocheted the ‘normal way’: in the round is much more beautiful, isn’t it? ;-)

Filethäkeln in Runden? Wozu denn das?
Nun, ich finde, dass es bei symmetrischen Mustern einfach schöner aussieht :)
Von Weitem mag man keinen Unterschied erkennen, aber von Nahem finde ich es schöner, wenn das von den Stäbchen gebildete Streifenmuster von der Mitte ausstrahlt.
Sieh’ die Bilder links: beides sind dasselbe Muster, eines ist in runden gehäkelt und das andere ist einfach ‘ganz normal’ Filet gehäkelt: in Runden ist doch schöner, oder? ;-)
