This design is knitted on double knitting boards. The various sizes require from 31-49 pegs per side of the board. A loom that has adjustable space between the boards is best so as to be able to match the gauge. The hat is very warm due to the nature of the fabric.

This is a shaped well fitting hat that does NOT require a lot of increases or decreases to accomplish the shaping. Instead various stitches do the job. Full fisherman’s rib creates the widest part. Pattern includes instructions for each stitch.

Any worsted weight yarn that you like working with may be used. A yarn needle is also required.
