This pattern would be a nice knit for an advanced beginner on up.

Floralee is knit sideways all in one piece. The main body of Floralee is all knit (garter stitch). The lace edging contains stitches such as; k2tog, p2tog, kfb, skp, and s2kpo, yo2 and some bindi off sts. There is a link to a She-Knits video in the pattern in which I demonstrate a few of the rows within Floralee which include the sts.; yo2, skp, kfb, swyb, s2kpo and bind3. This video is a wonderful tool particularly good for those of you newer to lace knitting.

The pattern has both complete line by line text and complete line by line charts so you can choose which format you like best to knit from

Easy to wear multiple ways Floralee will be worked in 440 yds of fingering weight yarn. I want to mention that Floralee was created with one skein of Madeline Tosh Merino Light which contains 430 yds of yarn. Many knitters (including myself and my test knitter) have used one skein (420 yds) of Madeline Tosh Merino Light and were fine with 420 yds however some people in the She-Knits Floralee Mystery Kal ran out of yarn just before the end which is why I am now suggesting 440 yds. of yarn be used .
Any fingering weight yarn will work however I suggest a tonal first, or solid…. not a variegated.

Gauge for Floralee:
Measured on un-stretched garter stitch using U.S.#6 and Tosh Light fingering weight yarn
6 sts. per inch
11 rows per inch (or 5.5 garter ridges)
