A textured pattern stitch is featured in this toe-up sock. This pattern features instructions on how to deal with a pattern stitch which is shorter than stockinette. It also uses an interesting and elegant heel. The original sock was tight on my “sock dummy” so I added a variant with a ribbed panel on each side. It did prove easier to get on.
