This stole may take slightly more yarn than specified depending on the size of your yarn overs. If you want to be safe but would rather not purchase an extra skein of yarn, simply start with a provisional cast on, work as indicated for 2”, then start the falling leaves. Follow the pattern to the end, then work the very first two rows backwards from the cast on for the desired length or until you run out of yarn.
