The Forest Glenn Stole is worked in one piece in stockinette stitch and has the unique shape of an elongated octagon. It begins with a narrow, lace adorned edge, increases to its full width where it is worked until the desired length is reached, then is decreased and ends with a mirror of the beginning lace edge.

A needle twice the size of those used to work the stole is used to cast on and bind off. Stitch markers are useful in keeping track of width repeats. A tapestry needle is needed to weave in loose ends.

A solid colored or muted tonal yarn is suggested.

Forest Glenn Stole’s size is easily customized by adding width and length repeats and can be worked in fingering, lace, or lighter weight yarn. Size will also vary due to personal tension and blocking styles. The following information was gathered from stoles test knitted from this pattern.
