This cowl features a repeating leaf motif that calls to mind fall foliage. A looser gauge and lacework make this a lightweight piece that will wear well in the transition between seasons. Knit flat and seamed together, you can customize this cowl to be as long or as short as you desire!

The pattern is both charted and written out.

Finished size
Single-loop (short) cowl: Approximately 8” wide, 24” circumference (20 cm x 60 cm)
Double-loop (long) cowl: Approximately 8” wide, 50” circumference (20 cm x 127 cm)

125-250 yards of worsted weight yarn. Sample shown knit using 1.7 skeins of Brooklyn Tweed Shelter (50 g/140 yds (130 m); 100% wool).

Needles
US size 6 / 4.0 mm, or size needed to obtain desired gauge and drape of fabric.

Gauge
One pattern repeat (37 stitches/10 rows) = 8” (20 cm) wide x 2” (5 cm) high when blocked. Gauge is not critical to this pattern, but it may affect the length and width of the final product.
