Foxy’s had a makeover!

The pattern is the same, but the formatting is improved. Useful tips and helpful links are now included.

Living in the UK has definitely been the inspiration for this accessory. Most brolly snoods do not feature shoulder length straps. I like to sling my brolly over my shoulder to keep my hands free as much as possible.

This little sling is quick to apply and takes up precious little space in your pocket or bag when not in use.

Work this up in a smooth, strong cotton or crisp linen for best results. Make the strap as shown for cross body wear, or shorten the strap for a shoulder sling. It’s up to you. One size fits most large non-collapsible umbrellas like my own classic Fox Umbrella shown in the photographs.

Suggestions on how to customize the size of your sling are given. More yarn may be required. Enjoy!

Foxy is worked in the round, then back and forth, then finished with an I cord. Only one small seam to stitch.

Great for using up bits of 4 ply cotton, bamboo, linen or hemp yarn as it only needs 25 grams of yarn, about 70 metres. Mine actually only weighs 12 grams
