This pattern is a free pattern on my blog. I created this blanket using Bernat 3 ply yarn. Many of my testers of the pattern used 4 ply medium worsted yarn in their favorite colors and their blankets worked up much larger.

The blanket is worked as a diagonal blanket. Starting at one corner, crocheting until you reach the width and height you would want and then you begin decreasing. There is a video link I found on YouTube if you are unfamiliar with the Diagonal Box Stitch.
