I’ve always wanted to design a wrap that can be worn as a light layering for day to day activities, both in warmer weather (as I live in tropical country!) and in colder areas. During my trip to Perth, Australia, the picturesque views of the landscapes got me inspired, especially the day trip we did to Fremantle! The clear blue sky, the turquoise sea, the sandy beaches. I’d like to etch those colors in my mind forever!

For the construction, I needed it to be the simplest one, as I’ll be travelling when I make it. So I decided to go for the side-to-side technique. It’s started at one of the wide diagonal edges, and decreases every row along one edge to form a triangle. This way, the longest part would be the beginning, and each row would be shorter and quicker to do! Everybody loves a quick project, right? The triangular shape is perfect to be worn as a shawl, or wrapped around as a scarf.
