Frieda is a crescent shaped scarf. It is designed for 2 sizes, using 1 or 2 skeins. It can be knit in one or two colors and has optional beads knitted into a garter stitch band. A crocheted chain cast-on is advised--once done, the knitting is easy. Both scarves fall into “pleats” which makes them very flattering.

Do not let the number of pages discourage you! There are separate instructions for the 1-skein scarf and the 2-skein scarf, plus boxes so you can check off the rows.

Frieda was designed in response to requests for a simpler Filomena, also designed by me. Frieda is straight knitting with no “lace” flowers.

Both Frieda and Filomena have been sold by Foxyknits for years at vendor shows.
