This soft, lightweight triangle shawl in three sizes (petite, medium, tall) features a simple allover lace stitch throughout the body with a deep border of sinuous leaf pattern. Together these motifs evoke the petal and leaf structures of hydrangeas, a June flower mentioned in the novel Mrs. Dalloway. The shawl is worked from neck to hem with pretty pointelle edging along the top shoulders that is worked as you go.

Could also be knit in fingering weight by adjusting needle size to 5 or 6, as needed.

Substituting yarn and/or needles may result in an overall variation in shawl size.

18(24, 27) inches long at center back and 48(60, 68) inches wide across top edge
