The Pearl-bordered Fritillary is a butterfly whose orange wings are adorned with black spots and rows of pearly markings along the edges. The delicate lace and iridescent beads of this triangular shawl capture the spirit of a Fritillary butterfly’s wingspread. As fall sets in, carry this reminder of summer on your shoulders for a bit of warmth on chilly evenings.

The linked website has the written instructions, and the pdf download includes written instruction and charts. I recommend this beading method.

Designer Andrea Denby has created a rectangular version of this wrap called Fritillary Gone Long, for those of you who prefer rectangles over triangles!
