This hat is as beautiful as it is warm and it so very soft. This will be your new favorite winter hat.

In addition to the original hat, I have added a convertible version, that can be worn like the original, open part way for wearing with a pony tail or a bun, or open completely and wear as a cowl neck.

This hat calls for worsted weight (4) weight yarn and an I hook.

This is the second of a third series of these hats. I started with the lacy version, then made a warmer version in several weights of yarn and then I decided to make a more textured version that was also very warm. I am calling these enhanced to distinguish from the earlier versions.

The first one in this series calls for bulky/chunky (5) yarn:

Other versions of this hat available:
The first one is 5 weight yarn, but more lacy.

There are also some that I called “Warmer” because they were not as lacy and would be better suited for very cold climates. They are also the easiest.
The first one calls for a worsted weight yarn and can be found at:

The second one calls for Super Bulky(6 weight) yarn:

The third one calls for light worsted (3) weight yarn: https://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/frozen-snow-hat-...

The fourth one calls for Bulky/Chunky yarn(5 weight):
