According to Cicely Mary Barker, when a seed sprouts, a Flower Fairy baby is born, living in their chosen flower. As the flower grows, the fairy grows too, and is in charge of looking after their flower or plant, keeping it strong and healthy by making sure it has plenty of sunshine and water, sweeping away dead leaves, and polishing flowers and stems. I designed this Fuchsia Fairy because of my love of Fairies and also my love for gardening. It is knit in one piece, except for the arms, legs and wings. The arms are knit in one piece and inserted thru holes created by YO’s. The legs and wings are stitched into place. Using small amounts of any worsted yarn, it is a great way to use up your stash or left overs from other projects. This pattern is also available with 4 other Flower Fairy patterns in Titania’s Flower Fairies .
