This pattern is currently unavailable. It is being completely revised.
It should be ready at the end of February, 2014.
If you are interested in test knitting the revised edition, please send me a pm or check in the Testing Pool.
Thanks so much,
These gloves begin with deceptively simple ribbing that belies the ornate pattern that springs forth enveloping the forearms.
The cabled and lace medallions then smoothly diminish in number giving way to classic eyelette cables and a single motif. A single column of eyelette cables also adorn the thumbs.
The pattern is written and charted for two possible lengths and for two sizes. Shaping is achieved by using two needle sizes and strategically placed decreases.
Longer elbow length gloves are 32cm or 12.75 inches long.
Two 50 gram balls of fingering weight/4 ply or sock weight yarn are required. Minimum 330 metres total. Shown here in Drops Alpaca in shade 3620, Red.
Shorter gloves are 23 cm or 9.25 inches long.
One 50 gram ball of fingering weight/4 ply or sock weight yarn is sufficient. Minimum 165 metres total. Shown here in St. Denis Boreale, in shade 1260, Balsam (lovely mid-green).
A complex, yet beautiful, design which may challenge you, but offers superb rewards.
Strong, yet feminine, pretty and practical. Enjoy!
