I like mittens that have substance, and an all-over stitch pattern that provides warmth as well as an interesting look. I found the double lattice pattern intriguing to work with - a combination of twisted stitches that resemble cables, but no cable needle is required. The all-over pattern gives a double thickness to the mittens & hat, making them extra warm. Additionally, this stitch pattern has quite a bit of stretch, so although only one size is given, the mittens & hat will fit a range of sizes. One skein of Azapa will be enough for the mittens or the hat - you’ll need 2 skeins to make both :o) Tips are also included to modify the sizing further.
I couldn’t leave the lattice without adding a flower to it - Hurry Spring!
