Gardinium is worked from the top down, starting with a ribbed collar followed by a large circular yoke worked in stranded colorwork. The pattern will bring your knitting journey in a picturesque garden, where 3 colors of DK weight yarn are combined to create a flowery design. The rest of the body is worked in stockinette stitch in the round. To add to the fun, a variegated or speckled yarn is a good choice as the main color. The two contrasting colors requires small yardage, making this pattern a good stash buster idea. The pattern is available in 10 sizes (37.5” to 66.5”) and should be worn with about 4-6” of positive ease.

About the prototype
The prototype is a size 2 worn with approx. 4” (10 cm) of ease.
The yarns used are:

CC1: Sweet Paprika Minuet (colorway: Graphite);
CC2: Madelinetosh Vintage (colorway: Corsage).

Difficulty
Intermediate: working from a top-down sweater construction, working in the round, basic stranded colorwork (2 colors per round), reading a colorwork chart, basic increases and decreases.

Gardinium est un chandail tricoté de haut en bas, débutant par un col côtelé et suivi d’un empiècement circulaire travaillé en jacquard. Ce modèle transportera vos aventures tricotées dans un jardin pittoresque où trois couleurs de fil léger (DK / 3) s’agencent pour créer un motif floral. Le reste du corps et les manches sont travaillés en jersey en rond. Pour augmenter le plaisir, il est possible de choisir un fil moucheté ou multicolore comme couleur principale. Les deux couleurs secondaires requièrent peu de métrage, permettant d’utiliser facilement ce qu’on a sous la main. Le patron est disponible en 10 tailles (95 à 169 cm au buste) et devrait être porté avec environ 10 à 15 cm d’aisance.
