I was designing this hat when the horrible wildfires swept through Gatlinburg and the Smoky Mountains in November 2016. After seeing all the devastation, I decided to keep the tradition of naming my designs after cities and name this hat the Gatlinburg Hat. The first week of the pattern release (December 12-16), all profits will go to the wildfire relief fund in Gatlinburg, TN.

This hat pattern uses fair isle crochet techniques to create the fun pattern of the hat! Even someone who has never done fair isle or tapestry crochet can make this hat. The pattern comes with video tutorial links, a graph to follow, step by step written instruction, and a photo tutorial!
