This cosy little hat has a beautiful wave pattern, without creating too many holes to let the wind through!

You will need 3.75mm (US 5) double-pointed needles (or appropriate needles to meet the gauge) and 3.5mm needles for the ribbing. Optional: you can go down in needle size (e.g. to 3.25mm) for the ribbing if you prefer a tighter fit.

This hat requires 1 x 100g skein of yarn in any DK weight yarn with a high merino wool content, as this will be best for meeting the tension and creating a warm hat!

Instructions include a fairly simple chart for the lace pattern. If you are not used to charts, this could be a great project to try them out!

Pom pom is optional.

Sizes: Junior, (Small adult, Regular adult) =1(2, 3). The sample shown is the “Regular adult”.
