While you can arm knit or use giant knitting needles for this blanket, this pattern includes a tutorial for what I am calling “table knitting.” You lay the piece flat on a table and use your hands to pull the loops through. It’s amazing!

I am also including instructions for making your own 2-inch thick needles from PVC pipes at the hardware store.

Wool roving is widely available online and from many sellers on Etsy. I like to order mine from worldofwool.co.uk - they offer bulk discounts.

These blankets are extremely soft and fuzzy, so I include some ways to felt your roving to make it stronger.
