This hat was inspired by my husband’s love for medieval style armor. This particular style was popular in the 15th century.

Knitted from the brim to the crown, this design features bobble ‘rivets’ with a textured and twisted rib pattern.

The stitch definition is achieved by using a smaller needle than suggested for this yarn, which makes a denser hat.

This hat is knitted in a worsted weight yarn at a sport weight gauge. If you wish to substitute yarns, I would not recommend going smaller than a dk weight.

For a shorter hat (to fit most women), simply omit a rep of the Gothic Spire patt, hat will be ¾” shorter.
