The name of the shawl was inspired by the stitch pattern and the fact that this shawl was designed as a gift for one of my best friends.

The stitch pattern is based on the Diamond Medallion from Barbara Walker’s First Treasury.

The shawl is triangular in shape and is started at the center back and increases out to the edge. There are 2 sizes, a shoulder shawlette and a full size shawl. The shawlette should take about 400 yards of fingering weight yarn while the full size shawl will need about 800 yards. Due to the pattern, changes in size would best be accomplished by changing the needle size or yarn weight.

A BIG THANK YOU to the testers for their time and effort. Thanks to them, this pattern was finalized sooner then expected.

ERRATA NOTICE Wrong side (even numbered) rows should read: K3, purl to last three stitches, K3.
