Gladstone Bag
Inspired by the colours of the souk in Marrakesh this bag is knitted flat on two needles with a base worked in slip stitch stripes which creates a bright contrast to the bag sides which are worked i n intarsia, swiss darning and subtle 2 colour bead knitting. After felting which gives the bag it’s structure, several embroidery techniques ~ chainstitch, bullion knots & Pekinese stitch ~ are used to create the rich textures on it’s front, back & sides. The beautiful Lucite handle adds a sophisticated finishing touch
