Glittering Caves is a crescent-shaped shawlette with a large-scale beaded lace band and bead-accented, knitted-on edging.

Written for Sheepy Time Knits Middle Earth Club, Glittering Caves refers to the caves behind Helms Deep into which the men are forced during battle. Legolas and Gimli make plans to visit there in peaceful times. The diamond shapes and silver beads are for the glittering caves, and the edging is inspired by Dwarvish motifs.
