The design uses the contiguous method of shaping set-in sleeves developed by Suzie M.
This cardigan has a special construction. You are going to do a provisional cast on and knit the half of the sweater: that means half back, a shoulder and half front that you will knit twice. The neckline is made of lace with an I-cord so that you do not have to pick up sts to finish. Once you have got correct length of neckline, you will join to knit the cardigan in one piece. Then you will separate the body and sleeves and knit the body until the end. You will knit a band of lace on the front that keeps going up. There are also two bands of lace in the back that go diagonally. The cardigan ends with an I-cord finish.
The sleeves are knit in the round at the end. They also have a lace band on the top of the sleeve.
The shoulders are closed with 3 needles bind off method.
Happy knitting! Have fun!
