A knitting pattern for a thick, textured cover for an OVERSIZED golf putter!

  • Fits a putter up to 5” wide and 4.5” deep with a face up to 1.5”, such as an Ping Odyssey 2-Ball, Taylormade Monza Spider, or other oversized mallets
  • Heavy, seamless, one-piece design!
  • Designed to fit both right-handed and left-handed oversized putters, but NOT center-shafted putters
  • Instructions given for adjusting the depth of the cover, based on your putter
  • Simple detailed instructions!
  • A flap protects your putter’s face and a pom-pom is used to keep the cover in place

I am a golfer and while I’ve made covers for all the clubs in my bag (even the irons!), I didn’t have a properly fitting cover for my Ping putter - now I do!

The body of the cover can be created with a single 50 gram ball - extra yarn is required for the 2.5” pom-pom. I suggest wool yarns.

Required needles are double-pointed US Size #8 and US Size #10, with the majority of the work being done on Size #10. A crochet hook is useful for picking up stitches.

This cover would make a great gift for both male and female golfers!

If you need a cover for a small mallet or blade, check out this design!
