This pattern was made in an effort to clean up my stash and makes good use of just about any worsted weight yarn. The stenciled number looks professional and takes away the need to knit a number into your headcover. The stencil and paints are not expensive and pattern includes specifics on both. Stenciling on wool is actually easier than it is on paper.

Pattern is worked in the round from bottom up, using a double strand of worsted weight yarn and size US8 double pointed needles or flexi flips for the ribbing. The head is made using US6 size needles and a single strand of both dark and light yarn knitted using ‘Fair Isle’ technique.

Pattern includes round by round detailed instructions for Herringbone pattern.

Kitchener stitch is used to graft top of headcover. Detailed instructions and photo tutorial included for making and attaching tassel.

You will need about 40 grams of dark colored yarn and 30 grams of light colored yarn.
