I tried to make this pattern as easy and foolproof as I could.
It is the simplest in a series of golf head cover patterns I wrote in an effort to work through my stash. Pattern includes instructions for both driver cover size and size that will fit all fairway woods and hybrids.

All knitting is done with one color at a time. The cover is done holding 2 strands of worsted weight yarn together. The oval ‘number background’ is done using single strand to knit a rectangle of 100% wool, that is felted (washed and shrunk) and cut into an oval shape. A glue gun is used to bond the oval very securely to the head cover and stencil and acrylic paints are used to paint numbers on covers.

Instructions include many photos and DESCRIBE EVERY STEP IN GREAT DETAIL, including tips and tricks. Pattern includes specifics on paint and stencils used, neither of which are expensive.

Kitchener stitch is used to graft top of cover. Pattern includes detailed picture tutorial on how to do it.
