This herd of cows with their swishy tails is a fun way to remind us all of where our milk comes from. And the tails will remind the older generations to tell tales of the good old days of milking stools and getting switched in the face with those tails.

The pattern involves working on several of the randomly placed cows at the same time. Use of stitch markers to delineate each design and marking the rows completed on the chart provided, eases the challenge of keeping track of where you are. Both a graph and detail counts of the design are included.

For those who prefer a more simple design, instructions are also provided to make a blanket with 3 cows in a row walking across each end of the blanket.
