Inspired by vintage fashions and named for the beautiful and glamorous Grace Kelly, the Grace fingerless mitts will add a touch of cuddly elegance to any autumn outfit. I wanted these mitts to suit any fashion sensibility: delicate enough for Grace Kelly and cozy enough for me.

Though the Grace mitts were designed for slightly rustic or woolly yarns to give them that old-fashioned feel, they will work with almost any fingering-weight yarn. They feature an easy-to-memorize lace pattern, a fully patterned thumb gusset, and a vintage-style buttonband. Customize your Grace mitts with buttons that accent your own personal style, whether you wear them with a sweatshirt or an evening gown.

Notes:

  • Size is to fit an average woman’s hand with a hand diameter of about 7”. Mitten sizing is easily adjusted by increasing or decreasing needle size as needed.
  • Pattern provides gauge information for lace stitch pattern.
  • Mittens also require 6 buttons, approx. 3/8” / 1cm in diameter.
