I am well aware that there are OTHER patterns out there that are similar. Though it may not be fully original.. this is MY take on it with notes from my grandmother’s notes.. She wanted it done her way and that is what she did.. I am not taking or giving credit to myself or her because I know it is not the first time that it has been done.. This is an inspiration.. NOT from the original because I am unaware of where the EXACT original came from..

My grandma was given a potholder (before patterns were available on the internet) that was made in a similar way, except it was done in all sc but she loved how it went together and was worked as one piece!! So she studied it and tried to figure out how she could make some more. She was so happy to figure it out and she made it her own way. This pattern is what she did. That year for Christmas, we all got potholders, and I asked her to show me what she had done and that is what she did!! :) Enjoy!! I personally think they are the best potholders and I have a drawer full of them (some made by me and some made by grandma)

Can be made with any cotton yarn!!

You may sell finished product from my pattern but please give credit to me for the original design!! I have spent a lot of time getting this pattern exactly right!! If you have any comments, questions, or concerns please feel free to email me at hatchedwithlove@ymail.com
