“I would like to be remembered as someone who used whatever talent she had to do her work to the very best of her ability.”
-Ruth Bader Ginsberg

This pattern can be found in issue four of Nomadic Knits, which is available to purchase in print through our website and at select local yarn shops, or as a digital download through Ravelry (click the e-book link above).

This is a simply elegant delicate tank with a waterfall neck that can be dressed up or down. Works wonderfully as a layering piece for a business suit or for a casual look with jeans or shorts. The tank is knit bottom up in the round until armholes are reached, then the front and back are worked separately back and forth and then joined at the shoulders with a three-needle bind off. The waterfall neck shaping starts below the armhole split and continues to be shaped until the front is done. Garter stitch is worked on all edges of the tank to finish the top.

Sizes: XS (S, M, L, XL, 2XL).

Finished bust: 30.25 (31.5, 34.75, 38.25, 41.25, 45.5)/ 75.5 (78.5, 87, 95.5, 103, 113.5)cm. See last picture for schematic, and see below for additional measurements.

Needles: US 3/ 3.25 mm or size to obtain gauge in 24”/60cm circular and 1 additional needle for three-needle bind off.

Gauge: 28 sts and 36 rnds = 4”/10cm over Stockinette st in the round.

Yarn: laceweight: 800 (850, 980, 1125, 1300, 1490) yards/ 731 (777, 896, 1029, 1189, 1362) meters. Alternate skeins every 1 or 2 rnds for best results.
