This is a simple cowl with a lace stitch pattern that creates an airy effect of petals, providing just enough warmth on those cold windy (perhaps rainy) winter days. This cowl was not blocked due to the desire for the texture of the fabric. This is the perfect accent for any outfit.

YARN: I think this design would be better suited for a solid or tonal yarn to show off the detail.

NOTIONS: One stitch markers to mark the beginning of the round. Tapestry Needle for weaving in the ends.

DIFFICULTY: Advanced Beginner. It’s a good project to learn for beginning lace that repeats.

FINISHED SIZE: 20” x 7” (unblocked), 40” circumference

This pattern is for one sizes but can be altered to accommodate any length by adding or taking away repeats and is easily memorable.

“It is very suitable for novice lace knitters as it uses only basic techniques, but provides interest for the more experienced. Great for commuter knitting!” - Robebe, Tester
