These knitted and fulled boots / slippers are modeled on Russian Valenki.

They are NOT a reproduction of an 18th century American colonial item.

Larger sizes use slightly more than 1 skein of Fisherman’s Wool. Other feltable wool yarns can be substituted.

They are knitted, then shrunk to fit. The gauge given is the gauge after shrinking. You can fine-tune the fit during the fulling process.

I named them “Hagrid” because they look like the kind of slipper Dumbledore might have knitted Hagrid as a Christmas present.

I found the hard soles on Etsy. My slippers don’t have them, but my husband likes hard soles on his slippers.
