This pattern introduces a new stitch technique called “cast on half triple crochet.” It is really easy to work and the pattern includes detailed close-up stitch photos to help you master the stitch. Includes alternate option of working the same stitch in back loops only to create a plush ribbed fabric. (3rd photo)

The entire pattern uses only one stitch (in addition to turning and foundation chains.) This stitch creates a subtle ribbing that looks lovely when worked in vertical rows. It makes a fabric with great texture and drape, plus a bit of soft plushness. Use it to make a blanket or scarf of any desired dimensions.

This simple stitch pattern may be done using yarn and hook of choice. Sample was done with an aran weight yarn and crochet hook size K (6.5 mm). (I recommend using a yarn for this where you can see the stitches - something with a bit of sheen to it, or a lighter color will really bring out the stitch-definition.)
