Harvey is a soft and cuddly Harp Seal Pup, his fur blends in perfectly with the arctic snow!

The instructions are written in US crochet terms, with step by step photos detailing how to make the pieces and finish the toy.

The body is made in chunky chenille-type fluffy yarn with a 4mm hook, with the 4-ply cotton details added over the top. Made in matching yarn and hook the finished seal will measure about 49cm/18in long.

You’ll need to know how to:

・make a magic ring
・single crochet
・increase and decrease
・work in rounds
・chain stitch
・slip stitch

This pattern uses 2 different weights of yarn - a chunky fluffy texture for the all of the body and a 4-ply cotton for the details. If substituting for a plain yarn for the body make sure to use a thinner yarn weight and smaller hook for the details to keep everything in proportion!
