Hathor is the adult version of the Menet cardigan.

Hathor is a pretty cardigan, knitted seamlessly from the top down with a garter slip stitch yoke and seed / moss stitch edgings.
A simple garter slip stitch pattern adorns the yoke of this pretty cardigan, which looks much harder to knit than it actually is. A mixture of three colours, only one colour is worked at any one time making it ideal for a first colour-work project.
The pattern has two sleeve options included. You can knit a short sleeved version, as in these pictures here for warmer weather, or knit a long sleeved version for those cooler months.
The body of Hathor has a gentle waist shaping which gives it a more fitted feel and a feminine shape. As Hathor is knitted from the top down, I have given instructions for adjusting this by trying on your cardigan and positioning the waist to suit. It is also easy to adjust the length of the body and sleeves to your own measurements.
The stocking stitch body is edged in moss/seed stitch which echoes the patterning on the yoke.

Sizes: Available in finished chest sizes 81, 86, 91, 96.5, 101.5, 112 cm (32, 34, 36, 38, 40, 42, 44 inches)
I recommend adding between 2.5 to 5 cm (1 to 2 inches) to your actual chest sizes for ease.

Yarn: You will need a light worsted weight / DK yarn which knits to a tension / gauge of 5.5 sts x 7 rows to 2.5 cm ( 1 inch) in three colours, a main shade and two contrast colours. The sample in the picture above was knitted in Drops Karisma 100% wool in off white, mustard and sage.

Needles:
3.75 mm (US 5) circular needles (or size to give you the above gauge/tension) in 80 or 100 cm (30 or 40 inch) lengths for working the yoke and body and
3.5 mm (US 4) ( or one size smaller than your gauge needle) needles for knitting the sleeves, edgings and button bands. Use whichever needles you prefer for knitting seamlessly in the round ie. one long needle; two shorter needles or a set of dpns.

Notions: 7,(7,7,8,8,8,8) x 2 cm (¾”) dia. Buttons. 2 Stitch Markers.
