The Hay Bale Mitts were born after I developed a new stitch and realized it would make the perfect faux ribbing. This satisfying gift knit teaches a few techniques I developed for working with elongated (or wrapped) stitches in my new book, Knockout Knits.

Elongated Stitches are created by wrapping the yarn more than once around the needle, and then manipulating them on the next round. Once you see how easy this is you will be hooked too! Fingerless Mitts, knit in super soft worsted weight wool, are fast, and fun… you probably won’t be able to knit just one pair, making them PERFECT for the gift knitting season!
