My friend Helen suggested that the textured motif in one of my hat patterns (Squish Me) would be perfect for the pair of comfy, slouchy socks she was wanting—what could I say except, “You got it, Helen”. And so this top-down sock was conceived, with four sizes (XS/S/M/L) to fit just about anyone we know. With a quick and easy knit/purl motif, making them for gifts is a pleasure (and putting oneself on the gift list is not at all unreasonable).

Substituting yarn and/or needles may result in an overall variation in size and elasticity.
