The shawl is dedicated to my mother, Helen. Her grace brought light and love into the lives of everyone that knew her. This is a Faroese shawl with a garter stitch border that is knit from center back to the bottom edge. It is constructed with a center panel and two triangles, one on each side of the center panel. Yarn overs are used for shoulder shaping, as well as along each side and the center panel to form the Faroese shape. Increases are worked on right side only. The pattern directions include two sizes: shawlette, (shawl); however, the size is customizable.
