This crochet pattern is created using Cotton DK and acrylic DK yarns and is approx. 9” square and 9” long x 3” wide on the bottom so plenty of space for your mobile phone, purse and makeup. The fur can be as neat or as shaggy and wild as you wish - and lets face it .. Highland Cows are know for their shaggy looks!

Gauge is not that important and you could use different weights to make a larger version if you wished.
You will need to know how to work single/double crochet, short rows, increasing and decreasing.
There are links to Youtube video tutorials in the PDF for the bag edging, strap and drawstring cord - these are fairly easy stitches for beginners.

I used:
DK: Marriner Cotton DK (Shade: 2212 - cream) 100g/219 yds
Quantity: 1 ball
DK: Marriner Cotton DK (Shade: 2236 - Spice) 100g/219 yds
Quantity: 2 balls
DK: Marriner DK (Shade: 131 Cinnamon) 100g/300m
Quantity: 1.25 ball (2.5 if doing back of bag)
Polyester stuffing for nose and ears if required
Sewing needle
Stitch markers
1 x button (optional)

I am truly saddened to discover Marriner Yarns has ceased trading as of 23rd December 2022. Therefore other possible options for this yarn could be Stylecraft Special DK in Gold, Copper or Gingerbread for the fur, and Sheepjes Softfun (cotton) in Clay and Latte for the bag? If you chose to not use cotton you could use Stylecraft Special Aran (worked with a little firmness to give the strength of the Cotton) in Copper and Cream, though this may obviously mean the bag will work slightly larger.

The pattern is in PDF format and comes in both American and UK terminology and you are purchasing the PATTERN TUTORIAL ONLY - not the finished bag.
