Here we go again with the moebius thing!

I was visiting the Lake District and Scotland last autumn and was inspired to create this bag by the sight of the reddy heathery hills, the short cropped grass and the hardy Herdwick and Swaledale sheep. The yarns are natural tones - greys and whites and others are dyed using plant dyes.

It takes around 300 grams of yarn to make this bag, it’s knitted and felted. You will need to know how to moebius cast on, do an icord bind off, knit in the round and finally, how to felt what you’ve knitted and make sure that you’ve knitted it the right size. If you haven’t felted before, I sell my universal felting notes and calculations separately, they give you all the information you will need to work out how big to make things so that you won’t end up with stuff you can’t use.

I am also selling kits containing enough yarn, pattern and felting notes for this bag. Colours will vary according to the time of year and plant dyes available.
