What am I missing?
Herringbone Handies - Ribbed Fingerless Gloves
Well, it’s that time of year again and I need some new fingerless gloves. So, I pulled out my favorite pattern only to discover that I had written it in such a way that only I could follow it. I apologize to anyone who tried to decipher it. This pattern was tested and re-written in more standard terms on 28 Sep 2012.
Worked in the round, from the top down, this glove extends from mid-finger down to cover the wrist. As written, this pattern creates a warm glove that allows the wearer to keyboard or text comfortably, however it is long enough to interfere with the yarn if the wearer tries to crochet.
A shorter version, (omitting rows 7, 8, 28 and 29, as well as the thumb section), will allow the yarn to move freely while keeping the hands warm. One 6 oz. skein of Caron Simply Soft worsted weight yarn will make one pair of long gloves, as written, plus one pair of short gloves.
