My kids are always looking for secret little spots to stash their precious things. I find rocks under the couch cushions, marbles in my shoes, my big girl’s journal stashed between the cookbooks and matchbox cars behind the milk in the fridge. This pillow was created to be a better, safer place for their special treasures.

The lace tie hides an ‘afterthought heel’ pocket big enough for a book or small toy. Love the texture this recycled yarn gives to the stockinette stitch body of the pillow.

Want a woolier option? Try choosing two shades of Malabrigo Rios. Note that when knitting the body of the pillow using Rios, you’ll want to work two rounds in one skein of your main color and then two rounds in the other skein of your main color to produce a nice even mix of the yarns coloring.
