The danish knitwear designer Åse Lund Jensen was inspired by hen-knitting. A popular form of two stranded knitting in Denmark in the 1970ties. Originally she designed this colour pattern for a pair of leggins, but when Marianne Isager made the book about Åse Lund Jensen, she made revamped her designs and made this sweater.

Åse Lund Jensen lod sig også inspirere af hønsestrik. Borterne blev tegnet til et par strikkede gamascher. Marianne Isager har brugt borterne i en sweater og valgt farverne:

Colour codes for the brown version (picture 1)
Isager Highland in sand, stone, clay, soil
Alpaca 2 in 47, 8s, 2s, 4s

Colour codes for the blue and pink version (picture 2)
Isager Highland in ocean, curry, chocolate, sky
Alpaca 2 in 11, 47, 59, 61

This pattern is only available as a kit.
