Fingering weight yarn is held double in three colors for a worsted gauge and marled fabric effect. The hat’s body is worked sideways in diagonal lace, corrugated ridges and seed stitch. The brim and crown shaping are worked in the round with twisted ribbing and garter stitch. Wear the hat pushed back with slouch or fold the brim for extra warmth on the ears.
