These cute felted baubles are a perfect quick holiday project: they are made all in one piece, use hardly any yarn, and there is only one seam at the end! An easy intro to the short row technique - as much fun to knit as they are to embellish. You’ll want to knit up these irresistible ornaments and personalize them for everyone you know. (A plain one makes a great cat or small dog toy, too!)

Use a 100% wool yarn, or wool blended with other animal fibers, such as mohair or alpaca. Make sure your yarn is not labeled “superwash”. Note that most white yarns and some very bright (neon) colored yarns do not felt well, due to the bleaching process that they have undergone.

Extras: 1 stitch marker; a 6” section of old pantyhose and a 2-½” diameter wad of fiberfill for stuffing; tapestry needle; optional crochet hook to make hanging loop

Optional: embellishment materials of your choice.
