A dozen delightful decorations! This pattern includes all 12 designs shown. The pattern stitches are charted only.

(Mini Stocking Set 2 is now available!)

Although all of the stockings shown were knit from 1 ball of Knit Picks Chroma Fingering (colourway is Groovy), this is a great way to use up sock yarn leftovers! Each little stocking only needs 30yds / 27.5m of yarn and you could even use contrasting colours for the hanger, cast on, heel and/or toe to use up every scrap of sock yarn that’s lingering in your stash because you just can’t bear to throw out.

These decorative, holiday mini-stockings are worked top-down. They begin with an I-Cord tail (that will later form the hanger) and then continue with an I-Cord Cast On for the stocking top.

The general directions for all stockings are on page 3. The leg and foot designs for each stocking have their own page with the charted pattern for the leg and instep.

A few sewn stitches are required to attach the I-Cord tail to form the hanger.

Tip
When resuming work in the round after the heel is finished, a tiny gap tends to form between the heel and instep stitches. This gap can be avoided by picking up a stitch in the gap and working it together with the next stitch.

This pattern has 15 pages.

Many thanks, as always, to my stitch muse Annie Maloney. Some of these gorgeous cable stitches are gems of her creation.
